I've been talking about doing photos for months now and while I'm generally pretty comfortable with photography, this is intimidating me! I have a friend that does some incredible food photography so I will probably enlist her eye, but I'm just trying to be as frugal as possible while starting this business.
Next week, I am making another batch of chili crisp for family and friends because I've had quite the demand recently! It will also be nice to nail everything down until I make it into a commercial kitchen and can scale my recipe up a bit. I will still be making "small batches" but larger than what I have the ability to make here at home. I figure this will be a good chance to get some good oil pouring footage and promotional photos. Maybe I need to have some temporary labels made before then? Probably.
I guess I should get on that!
Oh, and business cards!
Seriously, I feel like people downplay everything that goes into building a business. It's not a simple thing. I'm trusting that it will eventually be rewarding financially and fulfilling spiritually. That sounds weird, but isn't that the goal? To be fulfilled by our careers? I suppose maybe family and friends can provide fulfillment but if there's one thing I've learned over the years, it's to be fulfilled on your own because you never know who you will have in your life at any given time.
Alright, well now that I've officially rained on the love parade, I'm gonna go. I got confirmation of photography assistance and will be doing those in the coming weeks! I'm excited to bring you some top notch photos ASAP!
I feel like I should have a special sign off note but I can't think of one right now so...
Until next time,
Kara
